My Inside-self and my Outside-self
Are different as can be.
My Outside-self wears character socks
And very thin is she.
With freckles sprinkled on her face,
And brown pretty hair,
And small feet that take me places,
And wear blue tennis shoes.
But, oh, my little Inside-self --
With white doctor coat on,
She's the best doctor in the world
With stethoscope around her neck;
Her hair is sort of fluffy with perfect color,
And if you saw her face to see
You would not think she could belong
To plain and simple ME!
