“Man, Pluto sure is cold!” I said. Pluto is a planet I like. It is a mystery
to scientists and it has interesting facts.
It is a mystery because scientists can’t tell if it is a plant or an asteroid.
Let me explain.
The outer planets are made of gas. Pluto is made of ice and rock. Also, the
planet is smaller than any moon and Pluto’s orbit is different from the other
planets’. Still, astronomers have not come to a conclusion.
Pluto has many facts. Some are:
- Pluto has one moon
- Is 3,673 million miles from the sun
- Rotates every 6 days, 9 hours and 18 minutes
- It circles the sun once every 248 years
- Temperatures on Pluto average to –400 degrees
- That’s cold and factual.
Now you know about our plant Pluto and what I like about the planet (or asteroid).
